Job Details:

This is a Casual, Grant-Funded position with an anticipated assignment length through December 31, 2018 and subject to renewal thereafter.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides a variety of functions in support of the Research practices in the department/area. This includes, but is not limited to, working on problems of complex and diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth, independent evaluation of intangible variables or of various factors within defined parameters. Determines methods and procedures to carry out assignments and manage data and analysis for projects, grants and/or funding source. Provides general data management and analyses services. Independently reads and interprets protocols and makes decisions on how to proceed with protocols with minimal input from Principal Investigator. May support and/or supervisor interns or staff depending on nature of study.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in position related discipline or commensurate years of experience in Research methodology

2 years of experience

General understanding of computer software and hardware and familiarity with PC and/or Macintosh platforms

Word, Excel and data entry (Access, FoxPro, FileMaker)

Familiar with statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS and/or equivalent analytical software)

Proficient in internet use and able to conduct literature searches using search engines such as Psych Info and Pub Med

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree

4 years of experience

Experience with preparation and submission of IRB applications and other regulatory correspondence

Working knowledge of specific content of study related research and/or services

May require bilingual skills, depending on study population
