JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of a licensed care provider and/or management the PAR II/Clinical Medical Assistant I is responsible to function as both a PAR and a Clinical Medical Assistant. Independently provides & documents clinical care and associated tasks as assigned and as per standardized clinical protocols. Utilizes appropriate age & developmental approach in application of care. Regularly performs a supportive role to physicians, nurses & families in the delivery of patient care. The staff member is responsible for securing and providing appropriate medial business information to/from patient families and funding sources. The staff member interprets, identifies, and documents this information by way of; registration, scheduling and/or obtaining authorizations for out-patient services and/or diagnostic services. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care is provided in a quality environment to patients and families. Perform administrative duties as assigned

Skills Required:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA)
1 year experience as a Clinical Medical Assistant
1 year experience as a Patient Access Rep OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration
Completion of a Medical Assistant course

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with EPIC EMR system
Advanced knowledge of medical terminology
Bilingual English/Spanish

The expected hiring range for this position is $22.00 to $30.26.
