Our team of development experts seeks a highly-motivated, detailed-oriented team player to support our efforts. The Administrative Associate will coordinate and perform a variety of administrative tasks for his/her supervisor and the team including, but not limited to, managing calendars and scheduling meetings; coordinating meeting logistics (room reservations, catering, A/V, etc.); answering phones; drafting memos; and supporting the execution of a variety of communications and prospect/donor engagement strategies. This position is key to ensuring smooth operations for the team, and will oversee the reimbursement and invoice process; help manage vendor relationships; effectively work with external, and support the team; assist with database entry to help track fundraising activity; pull lists and queries from the database as needed/requested; and plan and execute other projects as assigned within scope of responsibility.  

The ideal candidate will want to thrive in a fundraising setting; be an excellent ambassador and representative for Rady Children’s and the Foundation; work efficiently under pressure and be able to meet deadlines; demonstrate good decision-making; and be proactive and solutions-focused. He/She should be articulate, poised, and possess good written and oral communication skills. An ability to work evenings and weekends as needed is a plus.

JOB SUMMARY:
Coordinates and performs department/unit administrative activities including but not limited to dissemination of information to staff, customers, clients, vendors, patients and families. Coordinates functions required to ensure smooth operations, plans and completes projects within scope of responsibility and works with external, inter and intra departmental teams to support department/unit. Provides training and orientation for new staff and troubleshoots office technologies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-  High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
-  2 Years of experience
-  Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint and Access
-  Competent English grammar and composition skills
-  CA Driver's License required for Plant Operations Maintenance (POM) employees only

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-  Associate's Degree
-  3 Years of experience
-  Typing at 50 wpm

The expected hiring range for this position is $20.00 to $27.50
