Behavioral Health Assistant - Central Support

The Behavioral Health Assistant is a caregiver who functions under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Behavioral Health Assistant provides patient care in accordance with each patient's individualized plan of care, unit standards and guidelines, and hospital policies and procedures. Provides support to patients experiencing acute or chronic mental distress.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, GED or foreign equivalent
BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by the American Heart Association (UCSD employees may use BART certification in lieu of BLS)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
2 years of experience
Six months experience working in a psych program, schools, residential day treatment centers, security, clinical experience, etc.
Child and Adolescent experience
Training/Certification in CPI
CNA/MA experience
Bilingual
The expected hiring range for this position is $20.96 to $28.81
