JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) working at the Rady Children's Genomics Medicine Institute will be required to effectively consult with business leads, partner hospital associates, IT resources, and management to identify and document needs, objectives, current operational procedures and problems. The BSA provides strategic business analysis working closely with various internal and external business users to gain in-depth understanding of customer's business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and the context in which the business operates. The BSA is responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial and technological gaps and risks as well as identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Care Administration, Business, or combination of education and experience

5 years of experience in analyzing and documenting current and future state workflows, optimal process design, building, testing, and supporting enterprise software solutions

Extensive experience with Agile software development methodology and Software Development Life Cycle tools such as Atlassian JIRA

Experience with scripting or web application/software development using either of Python, Java, Perl, C, C++, Javascript, MySQL, PostgresQL or other popular programming or relational database technologies

Experience with REST API and systems integration

Extensive experience with rapid prototyping techniques and tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in genetics/genomics

Experience in cloud based solutions

Health care clinical or medical enterprise solutions desired
