Under the direct supervision of a licensed care practitioner, provides and documents clinical care and associated tasks, as assigned.  Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care is provided in a quality environment to patients and families.  Utilizes appropriate age and developmental approach in application of care.


High School diploma, GED or foreign equivalent

One year of experience

Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA

Completion of a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant course, or, completion of a RN/LVN pediatric rotation

Current California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (for Bernardy Center positions)  


Two years of experience

Pediatric experience in an inpatient, outpatient, or long term care setting

Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, experience with data entry and knowledge of clinical computer systems

Bilingual English/Spanish

Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in OT/PT/Speech/Audiology (for Developmental Services positions)  


Shift: Evening, 8 hour

FTE: .9FTE/Full-time, Benefits eligible

Location: Main Campus,  Bernardy Center - Skill Nursing (San Diego, CA)
