Clinical Medical Assistant II- Forensic & Medical, Part TimeSan Diego, California
Schedule: Days, 4-hour shifts
FTE: Part-Time, 40 hours per 2 week pay period
Location: Plaza Campus
The Medical Assistant will work directly with families and children who are experiencing or have experienced child abuse/neglect. The hours will be 1-5pm daily or similar (with some minor variations based on patient need) once training is completed. The MA will work closely with the Chadwick multi-disciplinary team made up of medical providers, social workers/therapists, forensic interviewers, and more. The MA will also work as part of the San Diego multi-disciplinary team made up of law enforcement, child welfare services, prosecutors, and others. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism is imperative.
Under the direct supervision of a licensed care practitioner, provides and documents clinical care and associated tasks, as assigned. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care is provided in a quality environment to patients & families. Utilizes appropriate age and developmental approach in application of care.
High School diploma, GED or foreign equivalent
One year of experience
Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
Two years of experience
Advanced knowledge of medical terminology; experience with data entry and clinical computer systems
Pediatric experience in inpatient, outpatient or long-term care setting
