The Clinical Psychologist in the Developmental Evaluation Clinic and Autism Discovery Institute independently performs a variety of professional duties. Position includes primary responsibility for independent administration scoring and interpretation of psychological testing for children and adolescents. The psychologist develops recommendations for treatment and links children to education and therapeutic services.
Other duties include: Counseling families regarding assessment findings and referrals. Test administration is based on an understanding of age culture and developmental level. The psychologist details patient care in the clinical record according to regulatory agency guidelines. Includes supervision and training of non-licensed staff and collaborative work with pediatricians and community organizations.
Minimum qualifications:
Doctorate Degree (non MD)
1 year of experience
Level II: Minimum 3 years of experience required
California State license, or if licensed in another state, application for licensure in California must be submitted within one month of relocation
BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
One year experience testing children with developmental delays
Ability and experience working independently, using critical thinking skills and processes to arrive at objective, strategic, purposeful decisions within the context of patient care and department, division, and organizational priorities
Preferred qualifications:
2 years of experience
One year pediatric experience with children under 6 years
Recent experience in a pediatric setting (within the past 2 years)
Competency with use of tests: Bayley Scales of Infant Development, Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS), and Wechsler Scales
Bilingual English/Spanish

The expected hiring range for this position is $45.74 to $62.92/hr.
