This is a casual, grant funded position with a grant renewal date of June 30, 2025.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for editing information and materials for the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare website (www.cebc4cw.org) using both CEBC criteria and APA format standards.

Specific responsibilities and qualifications include:

  • Edit and format the CEBC program outlines following detailed CEBC criteria.
  • Enter new programs and program edits onto CEBC website via in-house entry system.
  • Assist with the CEBC annual program review process.
  • Assist with continual quality assurance of the overall website.
  • Edit CEBC tools, resources, and guides.
  • Develop tools, resources, and guides as needed, in conjunction with other CEBC staff.
  • Compose and/or edit written communications.
  • Plan and conduct CEBC social media outreach efforts. Experience with Canva or similar design software is a plus.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

The California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare (CEBC) is a free website that provides information and resources on practices that target a variety of issues among children, youth, and parents. Some of these include mental health treatments, parent training programs, child welfare services, etc. The CEBC looks at the peer-reviewed research evidence for every practice and gives each practice a simple rating so that professionals can find out what’s effective and what’s not. The CEBC also provides assistance to systems and agencies in making decisions around selecting and implementing evidence-based practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in area of study related to the position

2 years of experience

Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills

Basic understanding of website management systems, and HTML coding

Proficiency with editing, data processing and graphic design applications

Capacity for independent decision-making

Experience developing marketing strategies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree

Experience in designing and maintaining websites

Skilled in creative thinking

Knowledge of evidence-based practices in child trauma and child welfare

Experience in graphic design for marketing materials and publications

Basic understanding of APA formatting
