The Developmental Services Aide for this position will support the three departments that make up Behavioral Health Programs within the Rady Children's Division of Developmental Services: Autism Discovery Institute, Alexa's PLAYC, and the Developmental Evaluation Clinic. The Aide will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of clinical psychologists, behavior specialists, preschool educators, and administrators to ensure optimal care is provided in a quality environment to patients and families. This will include, but is not limited to, data entry, supporting clinicians during group-based therapies, ordering and organization of supplies, and room/materials disinfection.  Weekly time distributions will be approximately as follows:  Autism Discovery Institute (20 hours); Alexa's PLAYC (15 hours) and Developmental Evaluation Clinic (5 hours).  

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of a licensed care practitioner, provides and documents clinical care and associated tasks as assigned.  Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care is provided in a quality environment to patients and families.  Utilizes appropriate age and developmental approach in application of care. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma, GED or Foreign equivalent
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
Those staff assisting with the provision of direct Audiology and/or Speech Pathology services must be registered with the State of California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board within three months of hire date

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in OT/PT/Speech/Audiology
1 year of experience
Pediatric experience in inpatient, outpatient or long-term care setting 
Bi-lingual English/Spanish
Advanced knowledge of medical terminology; experience with data entry and clinical computer systems

The expected hiring range for this position is $20.00 to $27.50
