Rady Children’s Health Services Developmental and Behavioral Services offers programs that identify, evaluate and treat children with developmental delays, disabilities and injuries. Specifically, weprovide educational services, such asbehavioral and developmental classes in the fields of occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech and language therapy for children,as well as consultation services in these fields. Through intervention and treatment, the Developmental Services teams work to prevent secondary behavioral and developmental problems, helping children to reach their full developmental and functional potential.

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for someone experienced with autism spectrum disorders, psychological testing, and overall developmental disorders, specificallyin young children.

The Director, Developmental Services Behavioral Health Programs (official title) provides supervision, coordinationand oversight of assigned programs. Responsible for the management, coordination, planning,and evaluation of the diverse functionsand activities of specified programs, grants, contracts,and locations. Participates with other leaders to ensure strategicand financial planningand coordination of Developmental Services. Responsible for administrative oversight of programs and services, and the clinical, programmatic, business, and contractual activities of these programs. Has responsibility for productivity and financial performance of programs, leads efforts at clinical revenue enhancement including charge capture, revenue cycle, and grants maximization. Plans and coordinates satellite needs to meet the clinical information needs (Epic, Cerner, clinicaland outcome databases). Provides leadershipand support to the managersand specialty areas, functioning as facilitator, organization liaison,and mentor. Understandsand analyzes relevant data to assist in meeting specific program objectives. Responsible for resolving administrativeand operational issues outside of the designed scope of the team/manager. Leads efforts to continuously improve quality, integrate strategic directions into everyday practice, and improve business controlsand operations. Assists and supports efforts to coordinate Developmental and Behavioral services across the hospital, leads selected cross department committees, and assumes a variety of special projectsand assignments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree

5 years progressively responsible management experience in a healthcare or non-profit organization of comparable size with responsibilities for systems, personnel, and financial management

Experience in a pediatric hospital or healthcare environment

Proficient in social health and welfare, health care management, program planning implementation and evaluation

Experience facilitating and coordinating activities with teams across multiple disciplines

Knowledge of performance improvement and continuous improvement concepts; ability to lead, execute and continuously improve related processes and quality techniques

Skilled in financial planning, regulatory guidelines, contract management and applicable laws and regulations pertaining to the business of Developmental Services and non-profit organizations

Demonstrated strong analytical skills
