JOB SUMMARY:

The Director of Engagement and Donor Relations will assist in designing and implementing strategies to further engage current donors, volunteers and new philanthropic targets at the highest level. This position will be responsible for the development of proposals at the $1M plus level. Will oversee stewardship and engagement initiatives while working closely with the campaign and fundraising teams as a collaborative partner to drive continuity across the Foundation. Will serve as the key architect for event strategy as it relates to the cultivation and stewardship of high net-worth individuals. Develop strategies to deepen donor cultivation, leading to $1M plus gifts. Responsible for developing engagement opportunities for top level prospects and will work to broaden our reach within the high-level donor community as well as our geographic reach. Primary liaison for facilities and Campus Master Planning as it relates to funding opportunities for donors and recognition at all levels. As the marketing team is a vital partner in supporting fundraising efforts, this role will partner closely, as the primary liaison, with marketing to ensure successful collaboration between the teams and will be responsible for program development on key deliverables. This position will maintain an active awareness of goals, objectives, and direction of the development program as a whole.

Creates and executes special projects as assigned by the SVP/Executive Director and/or VP/Deputy Executive Director.

MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree

7 Years of Experience

CA Driver's License

Experience with a comprehensive stewardship program

Experience with philanthropic campaigns

Detail-oriented and management experience

Works efficiently under pressure; meets deadlines; demonstrates strategic thinking and good decision-making, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit

Articulate, poised and possesses strong writing skills

Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree

10+ Years of Experience

Knowledge around Blackbaud non-profit applications

The expected hiring range for this position is $52.95 to $72.81
