Under the general supervision of the Manager/EEG Supervisor, Specialty Clinics, the EEG Technician performs EEG studies on pediatric patients in the laboratory and at the bedside of critically ill patients in intensive care units. Provides all documentation and support services for testing, ensuring all ordered procedures are completed in an efficient and organized manner. Contributes best thinking and knowledge to the organization. Shares unique experiences, education, and insight with appropriate health care team members. Continues to learn and add to skills and education. Participates as a member of a health care team and performs additional duties, as required. Selects and administers appropriate interventions relative to age, developmental level and size of the patient.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
H.S. Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
1 year of experience or graduated from an accredited Neurogiagnostic program
CPR/BLS Certification (AHA)
Excellent Communication Skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's Degree
3 years of experience
Current matriculation in an NDT training program
Experience in video EEG monitoring, WADA testing, ambulatory EEG, PET, ECoG, GRID's and SEEG
Experience working with developmentally disabled patients
Basic computer skills in Windows
The current salary range for this position is $35.95 to $53.36
