JOB SUMMARY:

To perform general and routine duties related to preparation of hot and cold café or patient meal service. Be able to adhere to recipes specifications and portion controls. A food service worker may also be responsible for adhering to all cash handling procedures in an accurate and consistent manner. Proper handling and storage of food per guidelines. This position has front line contact with the cafe, parent and staff customers and has a major impact on customer satisfaction with cafe, room service or retail services. Proper handling and storage of food per guidelines. Serve food to customers, patients in a friendly and professional manner. Performs all safety rules within department. Performs all other related duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent; In lieu of H.S. Diploma, we will accept one year of professional food-service experience

One year of experience

Ability to apply elementary math functions

Ability to work well under time constraints

Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed easy-to-follow written or oral instructions

Speak and read English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two years of experience
