The Manager for Youth Development Programs is responsible for program management administration of program activities and contractual requirements for CHC programs, including the FACES for the Future, the Medical Academies, The Wellness Team in Juvenile Hall, and other programs as assigned. The Manager will work with the CHC Director in setting strategic directions; planning, developing and evaluating programs, and managing all aspects of program implementation to include: day-to-day operations, data collection, supervision of staff, interns and volunteers, budget monitoring and compliance with grant and or regulatory requirements. The Manager will prepare grant applications and reports, and develop communications and marketing materials to support the programs and services. The Manager will represent Rady Children’s Hospital in both internal and external collaboratives and develop and maintain relationships with key partners for the purpose of improving educational and health outcomes for children in the region.


Master’s Degree in related field of study- Education, Social Work, or Public Health

5 Years of Experience

Experience and passion for working in youth programs

Knowledge of education and learning theories

Ability to work with diverse individuals, organizations and collaborative

Experience developing, supervising and evaluating staff

Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation, evaluation, grant writing and grant management, including budget management and reporting

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Experience in public speaking and training


Doctorate Degree (non MD)

10+ Years of Experience

Experience working in the school system

Experience in work force development
