This exceptional opportunity is with the 2BDry outpatient program within the Department of Urology at Rady Children’s Hospital. 2BDry is an award-winning, clinic-based treatment and care program serving children and focused on continence, bladder, and bowel health. NURSE PRACTITIONER
JOB SUMMARY:
The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive physical assessment, treatment, psychosocial support, referral, and health education children and families in clinical, school, and in-home settings. The Nurse Practitioner functions as a primary care provider, clinical leader, educator, researcher, and consultant and works with supervision of a physician. The Nurse Practitioner supports the philosophies of the department of nursing as well as the medical staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in Nursing
Current California RN license
Current California Nurse Practitioner license
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
NP Furnishing number, State of California (within 1 year of employment)
DEA license for positions that require the writing of scheduled medications (within 1 year of employment)
Medicare Billing number (NPI- National Provider Identifier) Must obtain within 6 months of employment
Certification: Nurse Practitioner, National (w/in 1 year of employment)
Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff Services
Successfully completes the requirements of the delegations of Services for the assigned division
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of experience in clinical nursing with emphasis in specialty area
Experience in specialty area as a Nurse Practitioner
Formal in-service education and/or lecturing skills
Bilingual Skills desired
PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is accountable for a defined patient population under the supervision of a licensed physician. Functions dependently in a staff position, implementing the role of expert practitioner, consultant, educator, and researcher within a specialized area of patient care. Performs within the scope of licensures and in accordance with hospital policies. Some positions will be responsible for being on call according to a predetermined schedule or as needed, pursuant to hospital needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master of Science Degree in a Physician Assistant Program
Current California Physician Assistant license
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
Furnishing number, State of California (w/in 1 year of employment)
DEA license for positions that require the writing of scheduled medications (within one year of employment)
Medicare Billing number (NPI- National Provider Identifier) Must obtain within 6 months of employment
Certification: Physician Assistant, National Commission (w/in 1 year of employment)
Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff Services

The expected hiring range for this position is $52.95 to $72.81.
