Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of a Nurse Practitioner or Medical Director, the Occupational Health
(OHS) Nurse is responsible for applying the nursing process in the care of RCHSD employees who are being treated for work related injuries, having a pre-employment examination, receiving immunizations or other testing. Coordinates the Workers Compensation Program from triaging injuries, assisting with assessments, completion of claim documentation, scheduling appointments and coordinating care with claims management staff. Independently conducts ergonomic evaluations and implements changes, conducts training on a variety of safety and health issues and completes all documentation required for the above programs.


H.S. Diploma, GED, or Equivalent

1 Year of Experience

Valid California Driver's License and Proof of Auto Insurance Required

BLS for Health Providers (AHA)

Licensed Vocational Nurse


2 Years of Experience

California RN License

Bachelor's Degree

Venipuncture Certification

Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program


Schedule: Days, 8 hour shifts

FTE: 1.0 FTE/Full-time benefit eligible

Location: Hospital - Nelson Pavilion
