The Program Evaluation Specialist-II (PES-II) position at the Rady Children's Autism Discovery Institute (ADI) plays an integral role in supporting clinical staff in the delivery of high quality autism-focused care and evidenced-based practices. The PES-II works directly with ADI leadership and clinical staff, and also has the opportunity to collaborate with renowned researchers in the field of autism and neurodevelopmental disorders. The PES-II primarily supports two teams within ADI: The John M Sachs Family Clinic for Autism Multidisciplinary Team and the Autism Friendly Health System Initiative. The multidisciplinary team at the Sachs Family Clinic provides collaborative evaluation, therapeutic and care coordination services for children with autism or other neurodevelopmental concerns. The Autism Friendly Health System Initiative provides hospital-wide training and in-vivo support across the organization to promote autism-informed care during medical visits and procedures. Additional roles for the PES-II include supporting monthly quality assurance, data analyses, and preparation of donor reports and program evaluation summaries. The primary physical location for this position is the John M Sachs Family Clinic for Autism at ADI's Torrey Hills clinic, but hybrid remote-onsite work schedules may be available. This is a casual, grant funded position supported by the Sachs Fund for Coordinated Care for Children with Autism, with anticipated end date of June 30, 2025.

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides a variety of functions in support of the evaluation and quality improvement practices in the department/area. This includes, but is not limited to, working on problems of complex and diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth, independent evaluation of intangible variables or of various factors within defined parameters. Determines methods and procedures to carry out assignments and manage data and analysis for projects, grants, and/or funding source. Provides general data management and analyses services. Independently reads and interprets protocols and makes decisions on how to proceed with protocols with minimal input from Principal Investigator. May support and/or supervise interns or staff depending on nature of study.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree

2 years of experience 

Familiar with statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS and or equivalent analytical software)

Word, Excel, and data entry (Access, FoxPro, FileMaker)

Proficient in internet use and able to conduct literature searches using search engines such as Psych Info and Pub Med

General understanding of computer software and hardware and familiarity with PC and/or MacIntosh Platforms

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s Degree

4 years of experience 

Working knowledge of specific content of study related research and/or services

Experience with preparation and submission of IRB applications and other regulatory correspondence

May require bilingual skills, depending on study population
