This is a casual, grant funded position with a grant renewal date of June 30, 2025.


This position supports the California Training Institute (CalTrin, by coordinating the day-to-day training operations. Applicants must be able to work as part of a team, while also being self-motivated and well-organized.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate registration and hosting of trainings, includes assisting speakers before and during the training and acting as a Zoom producer
  • Assist with training evaluation
  • Assist with MailChimp, Asana, and Alchemer administration
  • Use Asana to support team project management
  • Manage project email inbox; respond to general inquiries and/or coordinate responses from appropriate staff
  • Prepare training materials and resources (PDF’ing & linking docs, editing videos, some actual resource creation depending on skills and interests)
  • Assist with creation of training-specific email campaigns to provide follow-up resources and extend learning
  • Day to day management of the LMS
    • Manages the LMS administration functions including the set-up of user accounts, security permissions, learning profiles and notifications
    • Manages training courses and modules within the LMS
    • Tracks user problems and provides end user training as needed.
    • Analyzes and recommends best practice solutions to any LMS requests or related issues
  • Manage inventory of purchased digital training resources
  • Conduct targeted outreach to identified partners

The California Training Institute (CalTrin) advances child abuse prevention in California through professional development. We deliver science-based, professional development and extended learning to staff of Family Resource Centers (FRCs), Child Abuse Prevention Councils (CAPCs), and child welfare agencies in the state of California. CalTrin is a project funded by the California Office of Child Abuse Prevention (OCAP). We are managed by the Chadwick Center for Children and Families at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. A strong partnership with our sister program, the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare (CEBC), is essential to our work providing training grounded in science and focused on implementation across the prevention continuum.
