This position is a Critical Care House per diem for our NICU, CVICU and PICU units.

JOB SUMMARY:

Functions at the Standard Level of nursing practice. Responsible for independently applying the nursing process through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of pediatric patient care. Selects and administers the appropriate care, taking into consideration the age, developmental level and size of the patient. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing. Should be able to identify own limitations and seek resources as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate's Degree in Nursing

1 year of experience

Current California RN License

BLS/CPR certification (Issued by American Heart Association)

PALS or PEARS (within 6 months of hire)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

3 years of experience

Professional nursing certification

Pediatric nursing experience in a comparable, high-acuity department

Bilingual English/Spanish

Based on the department, the following certification(s) will be required:

ECC & Urgent Care: ENPC (within 6-months of hire if no previous Peds ER experience. Only required once.), TNCC and ACLS within one year of hire or after promoting to CN II, but not required if per diem.

NICU Main: NRP within six months of hire

POSTING DETAILS:

Schedule: Night Shift, 12 hour shifts

FTE: Per Diem / Not Benefits Eligible
