Registered Nurse (RN) - Polinsky Center (San Diego, CA), Part-timeSan Diego, California
Note: This is a casual position with an anticipated end date of December 31, 2020.
The Polinsky Clinic RN is responsible for coordinating and providing direct health and supportive services that are necessary to maintain or improve the physical and mental health of the children of Polinsky Children's Center, who are brought into protective custody for reasons of suspected abuse or neglect. He/she provides comprehensive patient assessments, timely documentation, implementation and maintenance of individualized care plans to guide administration of treatments/medical care, and coordination of discharge planning and patient/family/caregiver education. The RN facilitates effective functionality of clinic operations, providing oversight to the Medical Assistants and working collaboratively with all disciplines providing services to the children of Polinsky, including, but not limited to: on-site/on-call Pediatrician/Psychiatrist, County Mental Health Team, Developmental Services and County Staff. The RN actively participates in Quality Improvement Management activities, and performs additional team functions, as required, to maintain effective clinic functions.
Associate's Degree or Nursing Diploma
One year of experience
Current California RN license
BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
One year of pediatric experience
One year of Mental Health Services experience
Schedule: Rotating, 8 hour shifts
FTE: .8FTE/Part-time/Benefits Eligible
