The responsibilities include providing leadership for the Bioinformatics Division of RCIMG. The Division consists of four distinct service lines: Genome Informatics, Applications and Systems Engineering, Technical / Software Development and Data Services. The Senior Director of Bioinformatics (SDBI) leads coordinated efforts to grow the implementation of each Service Line in support of the overall RCIGM strategic goals. The SDBI will understand, analyze, develop and innovate strategic and operational plans for scaling Bioinformatics consistent with the growth of rapid genome sequencing. In addition, the SDBI is responsible for ensuring SOP and regulatory compliance of staff including compliance with regulatory/accreditation guidelines and agencies. Working together with the Institute leadership team, Lab Operations, Business Development and Research the SDBI will lead a team of professionals capable of delivering state of the art BI support for rapid, high-quality, scalable genomic results and reporting.

Master's Degree
5 Years of Experience
Minimum 5 years experience providing BI leadership in the field of Genomic medicine.
3+ years prior managerial experience required.
Familiar with the BI challenges facing the modern genomics laboratory and healthcare settings including common workflow models, capable of planning for future change and growth.
Current knowledge of all regulatory, legal, and accreditation standards of professional practice in areas of responsibility.
Financial acumen, comfortable working with budgets and planning models.
Demonstrates excellent leadership, communication, and emotional intelligence skills.
Balances competing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously, comfortable operating within tight timelines.
Ability to assess team members strengths and weaknesses, develop plans for learning and growth.

Doctorate Degree
7 Years of Experience
Knowledge and experience leading the development of products and software to support the strategic growth of a state of the art rapid genome laboratory.
