Provides technical & administrative leadership to the department through interactions with staff & others, as necessary. Reviews work schedules & assigns duties to workers to maintain patient flow & achieve production goals. Oversees staff in operation of imaging equipment. Evaluates accuracy & quality of images & provides technical assistance. Monitors the daily operations of patient & staff work flow efficiently & accurately to ensure high quality patient care. Adheres to & supports the policies, procedures, & standards of care. Supervises & directs the work of the technologists & support staff to ensure compliance with protocols & procedures. Plans & prioritizes area work assignments. Ensures the radiographs meet the highest QA standards. Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient, self & others. Manages various personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans & disciplinary actions.
H.S. Diploma,GED,or Equivalent
3 years of experience
Rad Tech experience in lieu of leadership experience is possible
Minimum of 5 years as a technologist.
Graduate of an approved Radiology program (ARRT)
BLS for Health Providers, issued by AHA
Cert Radiologic Technologist
5 years of experience
QA systems experience
Accreditation, regulatory survey readiness experience
