Chula Vista, CaliforniaRCHSD Chadwick Center is a fully accredited hospital-based children's advocacy center (CAC), a child-friendly place that provides family-focused and trauma-informed services to help children and families heal from abuse and other trauma. Within the Chadwick Center, KidSTART Clinic is an outpatient behavioral health program serving young children ages 0-5 with complex social-emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs and their families. The program is funded by the County of San Diego, Behavioral Health Services. KidSTART Clinic offers comprehensive mental health assessment and treatment services for young children and their families. Evidence-based practices (EBPs) and evidence-informed treatments are used with a focus on trauma-informed, culturally humble, and family-centered infant and early childhood mental health. Our services include the Caregiver Wellness Program to support caregiver needs through adult case management, therapy, and group services for caregivers while their child is in treatment. The KidSTART Clinic Social Worker (ASW/LCSW, AMFT/LMFT, APCC/LPCC) provides developmentally appropriate, and culturally responsive, and linguistically inclusive therapy and case management to children and families served by the program within a multidisciplinary team. Documentation meeting Medi-Cal requirements is completed in San Diego County’s electronic health record.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Chadwick Center, Trauma Counseling Program is seeking a Social Worker I (registered ACSW or AMFT) or II (LCSW or LMFT), bilingual (Spanish) preferred, for our San Diego Site. The Social Worker I or II works with children and adults who have experienced trauma.abuse by providing assessment; individual, group and family therapy interventions; support; advocacy; and case management as part of a clinical treatment team. The Social Worker utilizes knowledge of culture, age and developmental stages to develop treatment plans and provide interventions. Knowledge and experience in treating neglect, physical and sexual abuse, sexual assault, and domestic and community violence in a therapeutic setting is preferred.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
SOCIAL WORKER I (ACSW, AMFT, APCC)
Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or other behavioral health field
Registration with the State of California as an ACSW or AMFT or APCC, as appropriate by discipline Must obtain registration number within 6 months of hire
CA Driver's License and Proof of Auto Insurance, if applicable
1 year of experience and/or 1 year pediatric professional experience
SOCIAL WORKER II (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC)
Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or other behavioral health field
Licensure in the State of California as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
CA Driver's License and Proof of Auto Insurance, if applicable
2 years of experience
2 years pediatric professional experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3 years of experience (SWI) or 4 years of experience (SWII)
Experience in assessments and treatment of children and adolescents
Experience working in a mental health clinic or other behavioral health setting with victims of trauma
Knowledge of evidence-based practices utilized in clinical interventions
(SW I) -The current salary range for this position is $35.84 to $49.28
(SW II) - The current salary range for this position is $37.63 to $51.75
