Clinical Medical Assistant I - Perinatology, CSSD

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of a licensed care practitioner, provides & documents clinical care & associated tasks, as assigned. Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal care is provided in a quality environment to patients & families. Utilizes appropriate age & developmental approach in application of care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
H.S. Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
1 year of experience (Note that 160 hours of an externship/internship can be substituted for the 1 year of experience requirement)
BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
Completion of a Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant course, or, completion of a RN/LVN pediatric rotation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years of experience
Certified Medical Assistant
Bilingual English/Spanish
Advanced knowledge of medical terminology; experience with data entry and clinical computer systems
Pediatric experience in inpatient, outpatient or long-term care setting
The expected hiring range for this position is $23.10 to $31.77
