Clinical Services Coordinator (Part-Time) - Trauma

Under the direction of the Trauma Program Manager, the Trauma Clinical Coordinator performs the clinical functions associated with the day-to-day operations of a pediatric trauma center. Principle areas of responsibility include: identification of trauma patients & initiation of trauma service documentation & charging, oversight of clinical care from pre-hospital to rehabilitation, ensuring compliance with trauma regulations & standards, & initiation/coordination of quality monitoring processes throughout the continuum of care, in collaboration with the trauma service team & the care area staff & physicians. Functions as a role model at the expert level of clinical & performance improvement, characterized by viewing situations as a whole, leveraging advanced clinical skills, teaching/mentoring of peers, and contributions to local, regional, and national advances in trauma
care.
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
5 Years of Experience
BLS for Health Providers (American Heart Association)
California RN License
Ped Adv Life Support Prov(American Heart Association
Graduate from an accredited institution for profession education in Nursing.
Current TNCC or ATCN Provider card or willingness to obtain within 6 months
Teaching experience with adult learners.
Minimum of 5 years critical care or emergency nursing experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Adv Trauma Care for Nurses
Currently or recently credentialed Trauma Nurse, or significant trauma care experience
Practical experience in performance improvement strategies and projects.
Experience with trauma databases and injury coding (preferably AIS and/or ICD-10)
Competent in use of computer programs, such as Microsoft 365, trauma registries, and EHRs (Epic)
Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in a pediatric trauma center ED or CCU.
The current salary range for this position is $52.95 to $72.81
