Compliance Analyst/Auditor - Compliance

Participates in the development and execution of a system-wide compliance program that ensures data integrity and compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. Assists in managing inquiries on a variety of compliance topics by gathering additional details on various questions/issues and conducting relevant research. Assists in developing/updating policies and procedures, as needed. Conducts electronic health record monitoring audits to help ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements; participates in the follow-up and resolution of identified anomalies. Maintains appropriate written documentation relating to compliance monitoring activities and records, including summary reports or logs produced, cumulative data regarding results, and actions taken. Prepares concise, committee-ready audit reports and graphs. Serves as a confidential point of contact for employees to communicate concerns, obtain advice, or report compliance concerns or violations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
H.S. Diploma,GED,or Equivalent
2 Years of Experience
2 years of compliance auditing experience
2 years of health care compliance auditing experience
Knowledge of federal and state privacy laws, including breach notification protocols
Experience with independently performing and conducting compliance audits; Epic experience preferred
Demonstrated excellence in investigation, analysis and problem-solving
Ability to be flexible, multitask and switch priorities as well as work comfortably in a deadline driven/highly productive environment
Ability to prioritize, organize, plan and implement services as well as handle multiple projects/problems simultaneously
Strong interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal); ability to work with all levels of management across all functional areas
Proficiency in computer software applications such as Microsoft Access, Project, Excel, Power Point, Word, and other Office applications required
High degree of initiative and ability to utilize good time management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
5 Years of Experience
Healthcare Compliance or Privacy Certified (CHC or CHPC)
5 years compliance experience in a healthcare environment
The current salary range for this position is $30.96 to $42.57
