JOB SUMMARY:

The Continuous Improvement Advisor serves as a coach and mentor to multidisciplinary teams focused on improving patient care and outcomes. This role provides guidance and support to teams, offering best practices in quality improvement methodology and tools, project management, change management, team facilitation/education, and effective use of data to drive improvement. Additionally, this role is responsible for helping develop materials and providing support for quality improvement training for stakeholders at all levels and skill levels (clinical and non-clinical) to help build the improvement capability of the organization. This is a highly visible role that requires an individual to be independent yet collaborative with other healthcare professionals and leadersthroughout the organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

3 Years of Experience

Bachelor's degree in quality management, engineering, education, healthcare administration, nursing, business, or related field

Minimum 3+ of experience with progressively responsible professional experience in quality improvement and coaching project teams

Comprehensive understanding of and experience applying quality/process improvement methodologies

Data analytics experience including experience with statistical process control, analysis in Microsoft Excel, and presenting data to leaders

Competency in teaching process improvement principles and Model for Improvement (MFI) framework to multidisciplinary teams

Able to apply and teach critical thinking when problem solving and making decisions

Proficient in fostering relationships with team members at all levels in the organization

Experience serving as a quality and/or data analytics mentor/coach for individuals and interdisciplinary teams

Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

IHI (Model for Improvement framework) or Lean Six Sigma or Project Management Professional certification

Thorough understanding and experience teaching and coaching people of all backgrounds and skill levels with quality improvement

Proficient in the utilization of core software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Qlik Sense, and QI Macros and the ability to teach these tools to others

Experience with an electronic medical record especially Epic

The current salary range for this position is $43.56 to $59.91

The range listed above does not represent the full salary range for the position but is the expected hiring range for qualified candidates. Compensation decisions consider a variety of factors including experience, education, licensure, unique skillsets, organizational need, and internal equity.
