Director, Nursing Excellence - Inpatient Services

The Director, Nursing Excellence implements the vision and strategy for nursing to achieve nursing quality, safety, and experience goals to outperform national benchmarks as set by the executive leadership team. In partnership with the VP of Patient Care Services/CNO, this role is responsible for the implementation of Rady Children's nursing professional practice, professional development, nursing education and training programs, and clinical research. This leader drives the nursing Professional Practice Model and influences research, evidenced based practice, and education programs, both to enhance patient care and to elevate Rady Children's regional and national leadership position. Additionally, this position is responsible for overseeing the American Nurse's Credentialing Centers Magnet program standards are being met.
MINIMUM QULAIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in nursing
Master's Degree required (preferably in nursing)
3-5 years leadership in nursing education or nursing research experience
5 Years of Experience
BLS for Health Providers (AHA)
California RN License
Magnet program experience
Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate Degree (non MD)
7 Years of Experience
NPD Certification
The expected hiring range for this position is $82.14 to $112.94
