The ECMO Prime RT is responsible for the operation, maintenance and utilization of extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). To serve as a role model and resource for policies, procedures and patient care related to ECMO. To function as a healthcare professional and to apply in-depth knowledge about the care of infants, children and adolescent clients. To rapidly recognize and anticipate subtle changes based on experience and advanced training; to coordinate and communicate with appropriate resources as needed. The ECMO Prime RT is able to perform as a proficient-to-expert clinician in the NICU/PICU/CTICU. Role models at the expert level of practice characterized by viewing situations as a whole, maintaining advanced clinical skills, teaches/mentors peers, acquires knowledge, demonstrates leadership ability, & displays professional contributions to their home departments. The ECMO Prime RT exhibits comprehensive intuition in clinical situations & is able to mobilize needed resources to achieve positive patient outcomes. Contributes innovations & initiatives that impact standards of care in the department & across the organization. The ECMO Prime RT is committed to patient/family, development of self/other, acquisition of advanced skills & knowledge & fulfillment of unit & institutional goals. The ECMO Prime RT independently applies nursing process, & selects & administers the appropriate care, taking into consideration the age & developmental needs of the
pediatric patient.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
5 Years of Experience
BLS for Health Providers (AHA)
NRP Advanced Provider (AAP)
Ped Adv Life Support Prov(AHA)
Registered Resp Therapist
Respiratory Care Practitioner

The current salary range for this position is $51.77 to $70.61
A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
