EEG Neurodiagnostic Assistant - Electroencephalogram

Under the general oversight of the Director, Manager, Supervisor and EEG Technologists in the department, the Neurodiagnostic Assistant learns to provide all documentation and support services for testing. Continuously monitors patients, makes real time documentations on the recordings, and is able to recognize abnormalities and seizures. Neurodiagnostic Assistant notifies EEG techs or on call neurologist when seizures are seen per physician stipulation. Participates in assisting the EEG technologists with restocking supplies, fills headboxes with electrodes. Contributes best thinking and knowledge to the organization. Shares unique experiences, education, and insight with appropriate health care team members. Continues to learn and add to skills and education. Participates as a member of a health care team & performs additional duties, as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
H.S. Diploma,GED,or Equivalent
BLS for Health Providers (AHA)
ASET LTM 100 course
Basic computer skills in Windows
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's Degree
Able to recognize artifacts, seizures, and EEG abnormalities
The current salary range for this position is $22.00 to $30.27
