JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the department supervisor, the EEG Technician I performs EEG studies on pediatric patients in the laboratory and at the bedside of critically ill patients in intensive care units. Provides all documentation and support services for testing, ensuring all ordered procedures are completed in an efficient and organized manner. Actively participates as a member of a health care team and performs additional duties, as required. Selects and administers appropriate interventions relative to age, developmental level and size of the patient.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
H.S. Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
1 year of experience or graduated from an accredited Neurogiagnostic program
CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
Excellent communication Skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's Degree
3 years of experience
Experience in video EEG monitoring, Wada testing, ambulatory EEG, Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Electrocorticography (ECoG), Grids and Stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG)
Experience working with developmentally disabled patients
Basic computer skills in Windows
Graduate of a certified Neurodiagnostic Technology (NDT) training program
The current salary range for this position is $40.62 to $56.51
A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
