Manager, Business Development – Genomics - Research Initiatives

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will identify, drive, and close business development sales opportunities, enhancing RCIGM's market presence and revenue-generating capacity by developing and supporting external partnerships. This role will focus on expanding existing partnerships while identifying, evaluating, negotiating, and creating new partnerships to expand RCIGM's clinical network.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree
Five (5) years of direct experience in a customer-facing sales role in the medical, healthcare, life sciences industry or technical field with a proven track record of successfully signing new clients and driving improved performance from existing clients
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build strong relationships with external clients and internal stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret sales data to provide insights to senior management
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional dynamic team environment and be highly adaptable to change
Proficient in MS Office, email, and CRM (Salesforce or similar)
Align with RCIGM values and culture
Significant and proven ability to effectively manage, prioritize and drive multiple projects from start to finish
Ability to travel up to 50%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Understanding of NICU/PICU, pediatric genetics environment, buying motivations and/or experience selling NGS products and services in the clinical space
Solid organizational, problem solving, communication and presentation skills
Track record of success in selling into the clinical space (hospital, healthcare systems) and ability to work at highest level within client organizations (CEO/CMO/CFO, and other key influencers)
Understanding of complexity of payer/provider business relationships related to healthcare including inpatient care
Strong knowledge and understanding of the genomic diagnostic market
The current salary range for this position is $64.37 to $88.51
