Manager (RN) - Trauma Center

The Trauma Manager ensures innovative and high-quality patient care, resource management, program development and trauma system and community interfaces. Responsible for meeting or exceeding all County Trauma contract and ACS Optimal Resources for Trauma Patients standards. Provides for the public face of trauma, speaking to trauma issues for media, philanthropy and community groups. Facilitates and supervises the development of and updates to trauma guidelines and policies in conjunction with other clinical programs in the organization. Serves as the administrative liaison between hospital administration and the trauma service and trauma system. Serves as the primary "on-call" point of contact for Trauma Program related-issues that require escalation above the Trauma Surgeon on-duty (i.e. extended Trauma Bypass concerns, programmatic issues, emergency situations, etc).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
5 years of experience
California RN License
Trauma Nurse
Adv Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) or Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC)
BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA)
Ped Adv Life Support Prov (AHA)
At least 5 years clinical experience in trauma, emergency or critical care nursing
Nursing leadership experience in trauma or related area (i.e. ED, Critical Care)
Experience within RCHSD Trauma Dept. will be accepted in lieu of leadership experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree
Experience with facilitating multidisciplinary groups and forums
Evidence of excellent public speaking skills
Knowledge of trauma regulations and standards, trauma registries, trauma injury and diagnosis coding, contract compliance oversight
Evidence of excellent collaboration and interpersonal relationship skills
Experience with facilitating multidisciplinary groups and forums
ATCN Instructor or TNCC Instructor
ATCN Course Director or TNCC Course Director
The current salary range for this position is $82.14 to $112.94
