JOB SUMMARY:
Manager, Software Development - Genomics
The Manager, Software Development - Genomics will lead and actively contribute to the design, development, deployment, and operation of modern software systems that support mission-critical business, data, and analytics initiatives. This role is a hands-on technical leader responsible for both people leadership and significant individual contribution across application development, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and emerging AI/ML solutions. This position also serves as a technical liaison between engineering teams and hospital IT, ensuring software platforms, integrations, security controls, and infrastructure align with enterprise IT standards, clinical environments, and operational requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
8 Years of Experience
5 – 15 + years of hands-on experience in software development, application integration, cloud platforms, and IT systems.
Strong hands-on experience with Python, JavaScript, Flask, SQLAlchemy, Node, and modern backend frameworks.
Full-stack development experience including React, REST APIs, GraphQL, and modern UI/backend integration.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployments.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgresSQL, MongoDB, and data modeling best practices
Experience supporting data science, machine learning, and AI workflows, including model integration and product ionization.
Architecture and system design experience for scalable, secure, and highly available systems.
Working knowledge of enterprise IT environments, including networking, security controls, access management, and change management process.
Experience collaborating with hospital or enterprise IT teams as a technical liaison or integration partner.
Proven ability to mentor engineers while remaining deeply hands-on as a technical contributor.
Demonstrated commitment to respecting differences and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment

The current salary range for this position is $64.37 to $88.51
