Locations: Kearny Mesa, Oceanside, Escondido, Murrieta 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Outpatient Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides care to patients in the outpatient setting, including but not limited to complex and chronically ill patient population within their specialty. The Outpatient Nurse Practitioner may provide consultation within their specialty to patients in the Inpatient setting if medical staff privileges allow. The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive: physical assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients and their families. The Nurse Practitioner also functions as a clinical lead, consultant, and educator in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and all healthcare team members. The Nurse Practitioner also performs standardized procedures per medical staff privileges. Outpatient NP care is limited to patients in outpatient setting. The Outpatient NP may be used to consult in the inpatient setting, but this would be limited to clinic hours. The Nurse Practitioner supports the philosophies of the department and is evaluated by nursing and medical staff. The Nurse Practitioner also performs under standardized procedures within the outpatient services per Medical Staff privileges.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)

BLS for Health Providers (AHA)

California RN License

Nurse Practitioner, CA

Ped Adv Life Support Prov (AHA) (all departments except High Risk Infant)

Nurse Practitioner Furnishing (NPF), State of CA, (all departments except High Risk Infant)

Successfully complete the credentialing process through Medical Staff Services (with the exception of Occupational Health NPs)

FOR PER DIEMS ONLY: Must adhere to department per diem availability requirements, which may include a minimum of 12shifts per fiscal year

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

2 Years of Experience

Experience in specialty area as a Family Nurse Practitioner

The current salary range for this position is $61.30 to $84.29
