Pharmacist Resident, PGY1 (Casual) - Pharmacy

JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Pharmacist Resident, PGY1 participates as an instrumental member of the healthcare team, working closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, physicians, residents, fellows, and nurses to ensure safe, effective, rational and cost effective use of medications to the inpatient and clinic pediatric population served by RCHSD. Assists pharmacy staff in proper distribution, storage, and record maintenance related to medication use in the organization, recommending changes to enhance customer service and ongoing quality assurance programs. Responsibilities include leading and influencing the operational activities of the pharmacy student program. Oversees the Adverse Drug Events (ADE) program & participates in the Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee Drug Use Evaluation (DUE)/Formulary review and approval process.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate Degree (non MD)
Intern Pharmacist
California license as a Registered Pharmacy Intern
Must be Licensed as an Intern pharmacist in California or Licensure as a Pharmacist in California within ninety (90) days from Residency Program initiation. The RCHSD Residency Program allows for retaking the NAPLEX or CJPE exams up to three (3) times.

Experience in pediatric setting
The current salary range for this position is $31.28 to $31.28
