Job Summary:
In addition to the responsibilities of QA Specialist I, QA Specialist II staff are responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of the registration quality assurance process including review of QA Specialist I staff to evaluate their ability to appropriately identify departments/users failing to accurately complete registration information and execute the appropriate follow-up steps. In addition to reviewing level I onsite visit reports, QA Specialist II staff are responsible for conducting onsite shadows with QA Specialist I. The QA Specialist II rep is a primary owner of registration-related claim edits and DNBs and conducting trend analysis to determine root cause. He/she will facilitate regular meetings with Denials Management and billing representatives as needed to review any high volume denials related to registration and identify steps needed to prevent these downstream errors. The QA Specialist II representative is a primary liaison between the QA team and the Patient Access director to report key trends and issues requiring leadership discussion. QA Specialist II representatives will be evaluated on their ability to reduce registration-related claim edits, denials and DNBS over time by appropriately identify root causes and working with QA Specialist Istaff to train upstream staff on error prevention.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
5 Years of Experience
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
6 Years of Experience
Graduate from Technical Training School in related field of study
Experience with Epic EMR systems
Experience running and conducting report analysis to identify trends from an EMR system
Demonstrated ability to facilitate cross-team communication and serving as topic expert
The current salary range for this position is $25.47 to $35.03
