Responsibilities
Job summary:
At Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, we are dedicated to providing outstanding care to our patients. As a Registered Nurse at our Polinsky Children's Center, you will have the chance to create a significant impact on the lives of children who are brought into protective custody for reasons of suspected abuse or neglect. Our team is ambitious and driven by compassion, striving for excellence in every aspect of patient care. In this role, you will coordinate and deliver direct health and supportive services to children, ensuring their physical and mental well-being. You will perform complete patient assessments, maintain meticulous and timely documentation, and successfully implement individualized care plans. Collaboration is key, and you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including (but not limited to): on-site/on-call Pediatrician/Psychiatrist, County Mental Health Team, Developmental Services and County Staff to deliver comprehensive care. Your expertise will contribute to the operation of our clinic, and you will actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to maintain our standards.
Minimum qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or Nursing Diploma
- One year of experience
- Current California RN license
- BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by AHA
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Nursing
- One year of pediatric experience
- One year of Mental Health Services experience
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
The current salary range for this position is $48.36 to $77.58
A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
