Key Responsibilities

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, ensuring the delivery of specialized respiratory care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing, diagnosing, and implementing therapeutic interventions for the cardiopulmonary system in both pediatric and adult patients.
  • Selecting and coordinating care plans, rigorously considering the age, development level, and size of each patient.
  • Providing conscientious and effective care that facilitates health and healing.
  • Monitoring patient responses to treatments and adjusting care plans as vital to achieve efficient outcomes.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to resolve and deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Educating patients and their families about respiratory health and treatment plans to ensure understanding and adherence.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, closely adhering to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identifying limitations and actively seeking resources or support when needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

  • A Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the state of California.
  • Associate’s degree
  • Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist, in a pediatric setting.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Registered Respiratory Practitioner (RRT)
  • 1 Year of Pediatric Experience
  • Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care and outstanding attention to detail.
  • Strong ability to effectively collaborate in a team-oriented environment, with a focus on communication and interpersonal dynamics.
  • A dedication to continuous learning and professional development.
  • The ability to excel in a fast-paced, pediatric environment while maintaining a positive demeanor.

The current salary range for this position is $42.00 to $62.36/hour, plus shift differentials as applicable.

A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
