JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Communications Specialist is responsible for implementing and advancing marketing and communications activities as assigned which includes but not limited to writing a variety of communications such as annual reports and newsletters, patient stories, web content, news releases, speeches, scripts, ad copy and social media posts. Should possess experience in PowerPoint and Publisher. The Senior Communications Specialist should have demonstrated experience in media relations, such as drafting media communications, working directly with news media and supporting media events such as press conferences and interviews. The applicant should also have a high level of familiarity with social media, such as managing and/or contributing to various social media platforms. The applicant should possess training in marketing communications and have the knowledge and experience to work collaboratively with a team and independently as needed to implement the marketing communications plans. Must have ability to manage time, projects and duties. Must work collaboratively across departments to implement marketing communications, execute identified tactics and proactively identify opportunities that advance the goals of the respective entities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in area of study related to the position
5 years of experience
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Media relations experience
Social media experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree
7 years of experience
Experience in a healthcare environment
The current salary range for this position is $34.14 to $46.94
