Supervisor, DS Medical Therapy Services - Developmental Services Administration

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Manager, DS Inpatient & Medical Therapy Services, the Supervisor, DS Medical Therapy Services provides clinical supervision for Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech Pathologists, and Developmental Services Aides. Plans and prioritizes work assignments. Serves as subject matter expert; coordinates mentoring and training of team members. Provides ongoing feedback and evaluation to team members. Directly participates in annual performance appraisal process. Responsible for coordination and evaluation of functions and activities around access to care and clinical service offerings. Ensures compliance with protocols, policies and procedures. Responsible for resolving operational issues. Supports the overall business plan by monitoring performance relative to established goals. Works collaboratively with other Developmental Services leaders. May provide direct patient care to children and their families.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
3 Years of Experience
BLS for Health Providers (AHA)
Licensure in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy or Speech Pathology
National organization certification, if required by licensure
Ability to coach, counsel and provide general supervision and performance feedback to others, facilitate meetings and lead decision making as demonstrated by prior leadership experience
Knowledge of competencies and regulatory requirements for inpatient and medical therapies at various locations
Proficient in social health and welfare, health care management, program planning implementation and evaluation
Experience facilitating and coordinating activities with teams across multiple disciplines
Three years' experience in an inpatient therapy clinical setting, developing a broad-based knowledge in disciplines and services represented in Developmental Services
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years prior leadership experience
5 years of clinical experience, including mentoring, employee development and training
The current salary range for this position is $55.60 to $76.45
