San Diego, CaliforniaRCHSD Chadwick Center is a fully accredited hospital-based children's advocacy center (CAC), a child-friendly place that provides family-focused and trauma-informed services to help children and families heal from abuse and other trauma.
Within the Chadwick Center, Forensic and Supportive Services (FSS) provides core CAC service components including forensic interviews, advocacy services and short-term therapy for children. Our multidisciplinary team (MDT), also known as the Child Protection Team (CPT), includes caring and trained professionals from law enforcement, child protection, prosecution, mental health, medical, family advocacy and other CAC staff and community partners. We provide specialized services to help children and families heal from abuse and trauma by providing a coordinated, compassionate MDT response.
The FSS Supervisor leads our diverse team of providers in a collaborative environment, provides crisis intervention support as needed, and manages the flow of the department to make sure diverse needs of our clients are met. The supervisor works with other leaders within Chadwick, including Chadwick’s’ Medical Director, to ensure clients are supported in accessing the range of service available. This position plays a key role in developing collaborative relationships with strategic internal and external multidisciplinary team members and collaborating organizations at the local, state, and national level.

JOB SUMMARY:
The FSS Supervisor provides general oversight and operations of the Forensic and Supportive Services (FSS) program, which includes Forensic Interviewers, Advocates, Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention Therapists, and Administrative Assistants within the Chadwick Center for Children and Families. The FSS Supervisor also oversees the Child Abuse Pediatrics medical team support staff and works closely with the Medical Director. The FSS Supervisor manages the flow of the clinic to ensure client needs are met. This includes oversight of legally sound and clinically appropriate forensic interviews of child abuse and dependent adults and witnesses to violence, crisis intervention, staff supervision, and support and management of related grants and contracts. This position works closely with the Child Abuse Pediatrics team to ensure that families who access FSS services and medical examinations receive integrated care. This position collaborates with other clinical program leaders within the Chadwick Center to ensure clients who receive FSS services are supported in accessing the range of services available within the Children's Advocacy Center. This position plays a key role in developing collaborative relationships with strategic internal and external multidisciplinary team members and collaborating organizations at the local, state, and national level and serves as liaison with the District Attorney, HHSA, County Counsel, and law enforcement. This position actively participates in the Multidisciplinary Team meetings, peer review, and professional conferences. It is expected that this individual will have or develop advanced content expertise in theareas of forensic interviewing and mental health and will demonstrate the ability to communicate that expertise across multiple platforms, including public-speaking and collaborative partnerships on a local, state, and national level
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree
2 years of experience
CA Driver’s License
Proof of Auto Insurance
At least 2 years experience supervising staff
Experience working with a multidisciplinary team including Law Enforcement and Child Welfare Services, preferably in the fields of child maltreatment
Experience working in a mental health clinic or other behavioral health setting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in a children's advocacy center environment
Experience in forensic interviewing children and adolescents
Knowledge of evidence-based practices utilized in clinical interventions
Licensed or license-eligible mental health provider
The current salary range for this position is $48.03 to $66.06
