Supervisor, Respiratory Therapy

Functions at the Advanced level of Respiratory Therapy practice. Responsible for assessment, diagnostic & therapeutic interventions affecting the cardiopulmonary system for children & adults. Selects & administers the appropriate care, taking into consideration the age, developmental level & size of the patient. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health & healing. Exhibits a comprehensive grasp of clinical situations & the ability to mobilize needed resources. Must be able to provide respiratory care to patients throughout the hospital & be proficient in respiratory practice in the NICU, PICU or Emergency care center. This position is assigned managerial responsibility of the Respiratory Care department & staff related to the coordination of the care given. Responsibilities include leading & influencing the daily operational activities of the Respiratory Care department. Supports the overall business plan by monitoring team performance & outcome relative to established goals & measurements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
BLS for Health Providers (AHA) (Minimum)
NRP Advanced Provider (AAP) (Minimum)
Ped Adv Life Support Prov(AHA) (Minimum)
Registered Resp Therapist (Minimum)
Respiratory Care Practitioner (Minimum)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3 Years of Experience
Adv Cardiac Life Support (AHA)
Bilingual-Spanish
Previous pediatric experience
Neonatal Pediatric Specialist, NPS preferred.
The current salary range for this position is $50.43 to $69.35
