This is a grant funded position which is subject to renewal on 06/30/2029. The intent is to make this a core position prior to the end of the grant funding.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Supv, Template Opt Specialist is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, performance, and development of the Template Optimization Specialist team supporting ambulatory departments. This role provides direct supervision to TOS staff and is accountable for overall team performance, workload management, and adherence to organizational standards for template build, maintenance, and governance.
The Supervisor serves as a subject matter expert in provider template optimization, access management, and operational performance. This position partners with department leadership, operational leaders, senior leadership, and technical teams to ensure standardized template practices, optimize provider capacity, improve patient access, and support data-driven decision making.
In addition to supervisory responsibilities, the Supervisor maintains the ability to perform core TOS functions and provides hands-on support as needed to meet operational demands. This role also supports the implementation, training, and ongoing sustainment of template optimization practices across ambulatory services
MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS:
H.S. Diploma,GED,or Equivalent
3 Years of Experience
3+ years of experience in template management, provider scheduling, access management, or related operational functions
Epic or other Electronic Health Record (EHR) application experience
Demonstrated ability to lead, support, and influence team members in a collaborative environment
Ability to organize work, set priorities, and effectively accomplish required duties with minimal supervision
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Self-motivated and self-directed
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Competent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to respecting differences and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree
5 Years of Experience
Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration or equivalent coursework
Experience leading projects, initiatives, or team workflows
Prior leadership experience
The current salary range for this position is $35.84 to $49.28
