JOB SUMMARY:

The School Support Nurse-LVN, under the direction of the Manager, School Health Contracts, supports the assigned school district's elementary school health service program in providing assessment, evaluation, maintenance, and improvement of the health of students. The School Support Nurse-LVN works collaboratively with district staff and families to manage health related barriers to learning for students and to promote prevention of illness. The School Support NurseLVN supports the educational process by working to ensure and promote the wellness of students by early detection and correction of health problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s Degree

3 Years of Experience

CA Licensed Vocational Nurse

BLS for Health Providers (American Heart Association)

CA Driver's License

Proof of Auto Insurance

Proficient computer skills

Effective communication skills

Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree

5 Years of Experience

Experience in preschool or elementary school environment

Bilingual - Spanish

The current salary range for this position is $26.74 to $36.78
