At Rady Children's, the primary focus of our Speech Pathologists is early intervention for children 0 to 3 years of age, oftentimes on the autism spectrum, as well as medically-complex children. Speech Pathologists evaluate children with speech, language, cognitive, feeding/swallowing, and auditory impairments and provide specialized therapy to develop their language skills.

Speech Pathologists craft family-centered, innovative treatment plans through onsite and virtual visits to improve the patient's functional potential. In fact, innovation is such a meaningful part of who we are that our team regularly presents outcome studies at national conferences.

We provide multiple opportunities for growth and advancement, including in-house continuing education credits (up to 10 CEUs per year), and opportunities to train in different specialties. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree
  • 1 year of experience
  • ASHA Certification - Speech-Language Pathologist
  • California Speech-Language Pathologist License
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, issued by the American Heart Association
  • Ability and experience working independently, using critical thinking skills and processes to arrive at objective, strategic, results-oriented decisions within the context of patient care and department, division, and organizational priorities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of pediatric experience
  • Board certification in advanced practice
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

The expected hiring range for this position is $43.57 to $59.91
