JOB SUMMARY:

Performs scheduled maintenance on medical equipment including, but not limited to, verification, calibration, and electrical safety testing. Knowledgeable in most clinical equipment found in an acute care hospital. Accurately documents all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work performed. Works independently with resourcing from Biomed III, Lead Tech, and Manager. Performs basic and complex repairs of equipment. Works closely with vendor tech support.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma and 2 years experience with formal Medical Equipment Manufacturers service and repair training/Military training equivalent

2 years of experience with electronic equipment repair or equivalent

Valid CA Driver's License

Knowledgeable in use of computer databases and computer systems

Knowledge of electronic theory, circuits, troubleshooting techniques

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate's Degree

Three years of experience

Certified Biomedical Equipment Tech

Certified Radiology Equip Specialist

The expected hiring range for this position is $30.96 to $42.57
