As a Histology/Electron Microscopy Technician, your duties will include:
- Processing, embedding, and sectioning Surgical Pathology cases
- Performing routine, special, and immunohistochemistry stains
- Mounting, labeling, and distributing microscopy slides to Pathologists
- Completing and maintaining preventive maintenance and quality control (PM/QC) records
- Performing general preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment
- Completing electron microscopy work and performing maintenance for the electron microscope
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate’s Degree
4 Years of Experience
Histotechnologist (ASCP HTL certification)
Equivalent experience of 4 or more years under a qualified Anatomic/Pathology lab director with demonstrated histology skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
5 Years of Experience
Bachelor of Science (Zoology, Biology, Anatomy)
Electron Microscopy experience
The current salary range for this position is $41.49 to $57.05
