Lead Occupational Therapist provides coordination, clinical mentoring, training and oversight of the department team members. Responsible for resolving operational issues. Supports the overall business plan by monitoring performance relative to established goals. Works collaboratively with the department manager and other discipline and center leaders. Independently evaluates patients through administration and interpretation of standardized tests, clinical observation, hands-on skills, and patient/family interview. Creates individualized treatment plans and home exercise programs, and provides patient/family training.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree
Area of Study in a Field Related to the Position
2 Years of Experience
BLS for Health Providers (AHA)
Current NBCOT Certification: National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
Current California Occupational Therapy license or eligible if licensed in another state
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA accredited program, if graduated prior to 2004
Valid California driver's license and auto insurance required, when applicable
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate Degree (non MD)
5 Years of Experience
Bilingual English/Spanish
Board certification in advanced practice (SWC, HTC, PAM)
The expected hiring range for this position is $48.03 to $66.06
